Deputy Prime Minister of Cuba signs book of condolences at the Lebanese Embassy in Havana

Beirut, August 10, 2020. The Cuban Deputy Prime Minister, Ricardo Cabrisas, attended this morning the signing of the book of condolences opened by the Lebanese Embassy in Havana, for the victims and material damage caused by the explosion in the port of Beirut on August 4.

On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vice Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra attended the Lebanese diplomatic mission, expressing his condolences and dismay for the fatalities and material damage caused by the explosions that recently occurred in Beirut.

President of the Cuban Parliament sends condolences to his Lebanese counterpart

Beirut, August 6, 2020. The President of the National Assembly of People's Power, Esteban Lazo Hernández, sent a message of condolences to his counterpart Nabih Berri, following the explosion in the port of Beirut, which caused considerable human and material damage.

Cuban diplomats donate blood over explosions in Lebanon

Beirut, August 5, 2020. The Cuban ambassador in Lebanon, Alexander Pellicer, and the counselor, Raúl Ernesto Madrigal, today donated blood for the victims of the two explosions that occurred this Tuesday in the port of Beirut.

The two diplomats responded to an appeal by the Lebanese government seeking international help to attend to the thousands of injured caused by the explosive incident.

The text sent to the Cuban embassy in Lebanon indicates that on that day the long and hard road to total independence of the Cubans, led by the leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, was restarted.
