Cuban Head of Mission invited to the “Orange Community Festival”.

Monrovia, December 9, 2024.- As part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence, an annual global initiative that runs from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) to December 10 (International Human Rights Day), Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera was invited to the "Orange Community Festival", an event held to raise awareness, foster community engagement and mobilize collective action to eliminate gender-based violence.

From Liberia Cuban health workers are congratulated on Latin American Medicine Day.

Monrovia, December 3, 2024 - Latin American Medicine Day is celebrated on December 3. The EMBACUBA LIBERIA collective took advantage of the occasion to extend their genuine congratulations to the Cuban workers in this sector.

They also sent special recognition to the Cuban collaborators who fought Ebola in this West African country and also congratulated the Liberian doctors graduated in Cuba from the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM).

Cuban Head of Mission meets with new Liberian Minister of Youth and Sports.

Monrovia, September 30, 2024.- During a cordial exchange held between the Cuban Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez and the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Liberia Jeror Cole Bangalu, it is discussed issues of interest to both parties in the area led by Honorable Bangalu.

Special attention was given to the importance of Technical and Vocational Education and Training for Liberian youth.

The exchange took place in a cordial and fraternal atmosphere.

 

New Assistant Minister of the Liberian Foreign Ministry visits the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia.

Monrovia, September 9, 2024 - In the afternoon, the Hon. Christana Wahblo Konneh, Assistant Minister for American Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, visited the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia.

The Liberian diplomat was received by the Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, with whom she had a productive exchange on issues of interest to both countries.

Cuban Head of Mission participates in activity to recognize Liberian government officials.

Monrovia, September 3, 2024 - At the invitation of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, in collaboration with UN Women, Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L Martinez Herrera participated in a special activity in recognition of current and former Liberian government officials and heads of international and UN organizations.

Cuban Head of Mission meets with the Deputy Minister of Administration of the Liberian Foreign Ministry.

Monrovia, August 16, 2024 - Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera held a meeting with the Honorable Gabriel H. Salee, recently appointed Deputy Minister of Administration of the Liberian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the exchange, the Liberian diplomat expressed his desire to work together to continue strengthening Cuba-Liberia bilateral ties.

For her part, the Cuban diplomat wished him success in his new task.

Monrovia, July 26, 2024 - The 71st anniversary of the assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes Barracks was celebrated this afternoon in Liberia.

Members of the solidarity group, graduates in Cuba, and friends of the Greater of the Antilles gathered at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia to commemorate the historic date of the National Rebellion Day.

Cuban Head of Mission in Liberia participates in World Population Day celebration.

Monrovia, July 11, 2024. - Liberia joined countries around the world in celebrating World Population Day. The Government of Liberia, in partnership with the United Nations agencies in Liberia, held the World Population Day ceremony at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Ministerial Complex in Congo's oldest city.

Cuba was represented at the event by Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

Cuban Head of Mission met with Vice President of the Republic of Liberia.

Monrovia, June 5, 2024 - Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera held a positive exchange with the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia H.E. Jeremiah Kpan Koung.

The Cuban diplomat conveyed on behalf of the Cuban government congratulations on his election and expressed her willingness to continue strengthening Cuba-Liberia bilateral relations on the basis of cordiality and mutual respect.

The meeting took place in a cordial and fraternal atmosphere.
