Kuala Lumpur, June 19, 2023- The Cuban Ambassador to Malaysia, Florentino Batista González, was invited to an exclusive session of the parliament of this Southeast Asian country for the presentation of the new Special Select Committee for International Relations and International Trade (CIRT).
The Cuban diplomat was summoned by the president of the Committee and member of parliament, Mr. Wong Chen, who was also president of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba in the previous executive.
Manila, June 13, 2023- The Cuban Ambassador to Malaysia, Concurrent in the Philippines, Florentino Batista González held a working meeting this Tuesday with Stephanie Alexis A. Cruz, Director of the Division III Mexico and Central America of the Office of American Affairs of the Department of Foreign Affairs, DFA.
At the meeting, the official and the Cuban ambassador discussed issues of interest to both nations while reviewing the status of initiatives to improve bilateral relations.
Manila, June 12, 2023- The Cuban ambassador to the Philippines, Florentino Batista González, participated today in the national act for the celebration of the 125th anniversary of the Independence of the Philippines, headed by the President of the Asian nation Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
The Cuban ambassador took the opportunity to congratulate the Philippine dignitary on behalf of the Cuban people and government and to convey wishes for prosperity to his country.

Kuala Lumpur (May, 12, 2023)- The Spanish World Book Day Celebration was held this Friday, May 12, at the University Malaya, with the presence of the ambassadors of Cuba, Spain, Argentina and Uruguay in Malaysia and representatives for the Embassies of Chile, Mexico and Venezuela.
During the celebration, an exchange of books was carried out between the students and teachers of the Spanish language of the institution and the participating embassies that represented the Spanish-speaking countries.
