President of Parliament of Malaysia receives Cuban Ambassador

Kuala Lumpur, March 15 – The Speaker of the House of Representatives (lower house of the Malaysian parliament) Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Pandikar Amin Haji Mulia, welcomed the Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernandez.

During the cordial meeting, the parties discussed the functioning of parliaments in both countries and the possibilities of developing bilateral relations in that sector. The head of the Malaysian Parliament, convey to the ambassador his desire to visit Cuba.

Director General of ASEAN meets with Cuban ambassador

Kuala Lumpur, February 15- The Cuban Ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernandez, paid a courtesy call to the Director General of the Association of Southeast Asian States (ASEAN), Mr. Samuel Jojie.

During the meeting Mr Jojie explained about the successes and challenges facing the organization as well as the actions that its members are currently carrying out to strengthen it. He also commented on the activities that will be organized to celebrate this year the 50th anniversary of its establishment.

Ambassador of Cuba to Malaysia welcomes new Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry

Kuala Lumpur, February 15- Cuba's ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández hosted a working lunch to welcome the new General Secretary of the Chancellery, Dato Ramlan Ibrahim, on behalf of GRULAC.

At the meeting the Secretary General thanked the initiative and offered his collaboration to work closely with the group of Latin American and Caribbean countries to strengthen their country's relations with the region. He also commented on the new work styles that the Malaysian Foreign Ministry will adopt to become an effective ally of the work carried out by the heads of missions.
