Ambassador visits memorial dedicated to victims of the plane crash in which Cuban diplomats lost their lives
The Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Florentino Batista González, visited the memorial dedicated to those who died on Malaysian Airlines Flight 653, where the Cuban ambassador Mario García Incháustegui and his wife, Gladys Delgado Ortiz, lost their lives 47 years ago.
The memorial, located in the town of Johor Bahru, in the south of the Asian country, remembers the victims of the terrorist attack that took place on December 4, 1977 and in which 100 people of various nationalities died.
Held in Kuala Lumpur Annual General Meeting of Friends of Cuba Association in Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur.- On the occasion of the 129th anniversary of the fall in action of the National Hero of Cuba, José Martí, the Annual General Meeting of the Friends of Cuba Association in Malaysia (FOCA) took place this May 19.
The assembly was conducive to recounting the 15 years of the association, focused on solidarity with Cuba and the bond with the Caribbean Island through culture and mutual respect.
During the meeting, which took place at the Residence of the Cuban Ambassador in Kuala Lumpur, several new members joined the society and its executive committee.
An evening dedicated to Cuban Culture took place in Kuala Lumpur
The Cuban Embassy in Kuala Lumpur and the Friends of Cuba Association in Malaysia (FOCA) organized an evening dedicated to Cuban Culture this Friday, May 3.
The event was attended by FOCA members, and a group of ambassadors accredited to Malaysia, as well as figures from the foreign ministry and government of this Southeast Asian country, were also invited.
