As part of the close and fluid relations with the Vatican, the Government of Cuba has remained in touch with Pope Francis and his representatives and, as has occurred in the past, has kept His Holiness informed about the processes of review of the convictions and the release on imprisoned person, a practice that is common in our judicial system and has characterized the humanitarian record of the Revolution.

On January 14, 2025, the government of the United States announced the following decisions:

 

1. Remove Cuba from the State Department list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism;

2. Make use of the presidential faculty to prevent US courts from taking action with regards to lawsuits that might be filed by virtue of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act; and

Embassy of Cuba in Mongolia commemorated the 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution with a representation of friends from various sectors

The Cuban Embassy in Mongolia held an activity for the 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution with friends from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, businessmen, journalists, artists, profesionals graduated in Cuba and others.

Among those attending were Mr. A. Amgalan, director general of the Americas, Middle East and Oceania of the Foreign Ministry and Mr. Ganbat Purev, President of the Mongolian Union of Artists (UMA).  Dr. CH. Dambajav (Khamba Lama), Vice President of the World Buddhist Sangha Council also participated.

Directors, professors, students and workers of the CITI University of Mongolia made a donation in solidarity with the people of Cuba

The Cuban ambassador to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, met with the president of the CITI University, Dr. Baigalmaa Tsembel, with Mrs. Altantsetseg Tulgaa, Head of International Relations and other professors to discuss cooperation.

At the meeting, the President of CITI University of Mongolia stressed that the Mongolian people know very well the history of the heroic people of Cuba and its historical leaders Fidel and Raul Castro Ruz for more than 60 years.

The UBS TV channel broadcasted a statement by the ambassador of Cuba to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, for the New Year 2025 and the 66th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

He congratulated the Parties for the results of the parliamentary and local elections in 2024, the elected and re-elected members, the new joint government and the members of the cabinet, wished them success and welcomed Mongolia's  results.
