Zambian Minister of Science and Technology receives the Cuban Ambassador.

Lusaka, August 29, 2023. Zambia's Minister of Science and Technology, Hon. Mr. Félix C. Mutati, MP received the Ambassador of Cuba Marileydis Dueñas Morales at his ministry headquarters.

The occasion was propitious for both parties to review issues of bilateral, multilateral and cooperation interest in the relations of both countries.

Cuba thanks Nigeria for its support against the genocidal US blockade.

Nigeria, January 16th, 2023.- The Cuban ambassador in this country, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, was received by Ambassador Samson Itegboye, director of International Organizations of the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the Cuban diplomat, on behalf of the Cuban people and government, conveyed to the Nigerian executive the gratitude for Nigeria's support for the Cuban resolution against the blockade.

Cuba assumes Presidency of the Group of 77 plus China.

New York, January 12. Cuba assumed the Presidency of the Group of 77 plus China, the most representative and diverse group for consultation.

Upon assuming the Presidency, the Minister of Foreign Relations, Bruno Rodríguez, expressed: "I want to reiterate my gratitude for the support and trust placed in Cuba to lead the work of the G77 plus China in 2023. It will be a year of great challenges and complex processes that will demand decisive action from the countries of the South."

Cuban Foreign Minister denounces arms race

The enrichment of the main arms manufacturing companies in the world and its negative consequences for peace on the planet were denounced this Tuesday by the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez.

In his account on the social network Twitter, the Minister of Foreign Affairs warned that according to international press reports, "the value of the 10 arms companies with the highest sales in the world, five of them American, increased by 18.1 percent in 2022 compared to to 2021”.

Cuban Foreign Minister recognizes support against the blockade.

Havana, January 6.  Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla recognized the support of the international community in favor of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States government against the Caribbean island.

He stated that during 2020, 159 States and 34 international organizations sent messages of support to the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, for resolution 74/7 entitled “The necessity to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba”.
