I thank Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Non-Aligned Movement, for calling to this meeting to exchange on the urgent and needed efforts which allow us to face COVID-19.
The Azerbaijan Ministry of Foreign Affairs inaugurated the Official Site of the XVIII MNOAL Summit in Baku that will take place in Baku from 25 to 26 October.

The member countries of this Third World political consultation group will be able to learn about the preparations, the latest decisions and news related to the great appointment of Baku.
The Center for Human Rights and Cultural Diversity of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) convened Heads of Mission of the Latin American countries represented in Teheran that are members of the organization, to mark the 10th anniversary of the Declaration and Plan of Action adopted in this capital, which led to the establishment of the above mentioned center.

As everyone surely knows, Cuba, like other major countries like India, Egypt and the former Yugoslavia, is one of the founders of NAM. Since the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in January 1959, the foreign policy of the island has been focused on the guiding principles, emanating from the First Summit of Bandung in 1955 and the XIV Declaration of NOAL Summit in Havana 2006.
