Cuba in the Netherlands

Fidel Castro is remembered in the Netherlands on the seventh anniversary of his passing.

The Hague, 25 November de 2023.  The Cuban state mission in the Netherlands today honored the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, seven years after his death, an emotional political-cultural act.

The ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Anet Pino Rivero, offered a few words of tribute in which she reviewed the life and work of the eternal commander of the Cuban Revolution.

Audiovisuals in tribute to the historical leader of the Revolution, poems and flowers accompanied the day at the Cuban embassy.

Message from the Community of Etiocubans in Europe in tribute to the historical leader of the Revolution

The Hague, November 25, 2023. The Community of Ethiopian Cubans in Europe sent a heartfelt message in tribute to the Commander in Chief that states:

HONOR AND GLORY FOREVER!!!

On a day like today, November 25, 2016, "FIDEL" sadly left us physically, but his examples and his deep conviction, his humanist principles remain with us.  History will speak of him as a Great among the greats and his legacies will endure eternally.

Cuba participates in the 35th Annual Meeting of the Council of Governors of the Common Fund for Commodities

The Hague, November 22, 2023. On November 21 and 22, the 35th Annual Meeting of the Council of Governors of the Common Fund for Commodities met in The Hague.

This was the appropriate space for Cuba, taking into account the complex productive economic scenario in the world and the existing food crisis, to recognize the work of the CFC in supporting important projects that contribute to the generation of jobs, the development of sustainable agriculture and food security in developing countries.

Screening of Cuban film at the Latin American Film Festival in Delft

The Hague, October 29, 2023. As part of the celebrations for National Culture Day, Cuba presented the multi-award-winning Cuban film “Fresa y Chocolate” at the Delft Latin American Film Festival.

The Cuban film was screened as the closing of the second edition of the Festival and was also a reason to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its first screening in Dutch cinemas.

Visit of Students from the Student Association for International Relations of the University of Groningen

The Hague, October 20, 2023. Students and professors from the Student Association for International Relations of the University of Groningen visited the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in the Netherlands.

During the visit, a group of approximately 30 students received a lecture on the Republic of Cuba. Some of the topics addressed were Our culture, our reality, achievements in the field of science and education and the constant confrontation with the Economic, Commercial and Financial Blockade.
