Visit to the Fruit Neighborhood community project in Leiden

The Hague, May 27, 2024. On this Monday afternoon, the Cuban ambassador Anet Pino Rivero, together with colleagues from the Diplomatic Mission, visited the community project developed by the Buurtzorg Nurses Foundation, in the Fruits Neighborhood, in the municipality of Leiden.

Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

According to U.S. official media reports, on 15 May 2024, the country’s State Secretary submitted to the Congress one more of the arbitrary reports that normally describe countries without any international mandate or recorgnition. This time, he listed four countries who allegedly “do not fully cooperate with the United States antiterrorist efforts for the 2023 calendar year.” As opposed to what has happened in recent years, the list does not slanderously include Cuba among such countries.

Breda, May 13, 2024. The prestigious Breda Jazz Festival, one of the largest and most recognized in the Netherlands, has presented Cuban artists. The groups Frutta Fresca and Conjunto Ámsterdam delighted the audience during the weekend of May 9 to 12.

Enforcement of the U.S. blockade in Argentina forces Cubana de Aviación to suspend flights

In March 2024, the company Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales S.A. (YPF) of the Republic of Argentina informed the airline Cubana de Aviación of its refusal to continue supplying fuel to its aircrafts, in application of the United States blockade against Cuba.
