Kuwait National Day

Abuja, February 22, 2024.- The Cuban ambassador to Nigeria Miriam Morales Palmero participated this afternoon in the celebration of the National Day of the State of Kuwait, held at the headquarters of her embassy in Nigeria.

The event was chaired by Chargé d'Affaires Abdulrahman Alazmi, who in an exchange of greetings thanked Cuba for the presence on such an important day for them.

Russian Armed Forces Day

Abuja, February 22, 2024.- The Third Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in Nigeria, Ana Flavia Gómez Pavot participated in the festivities for the Russian Armed Forces Day or as it is officially known, Defender of the Fatherland Day.

Military attachés from the diplomatic missions accredited in Nigeria and members of the diplomatic corps were present at the ceremony.

Latin America together

Abuja, February 21, 2024.- The Cuban ambassador to Nigeria, Miriam Morales Palmero, organized the monthly meeting of the GRULAC (Latin American Group) at the headquarters of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

Among the participants were present the Ambassadors of Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico, Jamaica and the chargés d'affaires of Brazil and Trinidad and Tobago, who had as a special guest the Director of the Department of Political Relations, Peace and Security of the Economic Community of States of West Africa, Ambassador Abdel Fatau Musah.

Cuba bids farewell to a Namibian friend

Abuja, February 19, 2024.- This afternoon, the Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria Miriam Morales Palmero participated in the funeral service organized by the Namibian Ambassador to Nigeria on the occasion of the death of the President of Namibia, Brother Hage G. Geingob.

The ceremony was carried out as part of the actions in honor of the career of the great friend of Cuba Hage Geingob.

First Meeting with Cuban Residents in Nigeria.

Abuja, February 17, 2024.- The first Meeting of Cubans Resident in the Federal Republic of Nigeria took place as part of the exchange processes derived from the IV Conference “The Nation and Emigration” held on November 18 and 19 in Havana, Cuba.

The main topics addressed were the explanation of the new consular measures adopted as of July 1, 2023 and a summary of the main approaches reflected by the participants of the IV Conference “The Nation and Emigration.”
