Cuban Ophthalmology Group Supports School Vision Program "I can see clearly now" in Dominica.

Dominica, Roseau, April 12, 2017. A Cuban team of ophthalmologists and optometrists began their work in Dominica as part of the government project "I can see now clearly", whose fundamental objective is the ophthalmological research Of Dominican students in primary, secondary and secondary education.

Guantanamo.– The 122nd anniversary of José Martí and Máximo Gómez’s landing at Playita de Cajobabo, to join the Necessary War, was commemorated with a cultural and political act held at the monument dedicated to the historic event, which occurred on April 11, 1895. 

The hazardous landing was reenacted by young people from the municipality of Imías, where Playita de Cajobabo is located.

We, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance of Latin America - People's Trade Treaty, at the 15th meeting of its Political Council in Havana:

Cuban doctors complete English training program in New Zealand

Wellington, 11 of April 2017.- As a result of a cooperation agreement signed in February 2014, a group of four Cuban doctors in their way to provide assistance in the Pacific Islands, completed an English training course, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand.

The ten-week training course, took place at Bay of Plenty English Language School, located in the northern city of Tauranga.

The Cuban doctors are already in the Kiribati and Vanuatu, where they have join the Cuban medical teams present at these nations.
