Ottawa, November 21, 2018.- Mr. Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment successfully concluded the official portion of his visit to Ottawa and traveled to Montreal to complete an extensive agenda.
At midday on Wednesday, Minister Malmierca met with his Canadian counterpart, the Hon. James Carr, Minister of International Trade Diversification. It was a cordial and fruitful meeting, during which both ministers highlighted the long-standing bilateral relations and underlined the significance of the economic and commercial ties, which have traditionally existed between the two countries.
Minister Malmierca explained the crucial role that foreign direct investment plays in the Cuban economy and its impact on building new trade flows.

Under the provisions of the current Cultural Cooperation Agreement two specialists from the "Restaura" Design Company of the Office of the Historian of Havana (OHC) were invited by the National Cultural Foundation (FNC) of Barbados, to make a technical evaluation of three centenary buildings of Bridgetown to be repaired and preserved, since they belong to the international heritage site recognized by UNESCO. The Minister of Culture, John King, exchanged with the architect Anibal del Prado and the engineer Rolando Salazar at the beginning of their intense and fruitful advisory work in the island and described as excellent and very timely this collaboration, which took place just before his planned official visit to Cuba next January, aimed at to exploring new avenues of bilateral cooperation.
BANGKOK, November 23, 2018.- At the Cuban Embassy in Thailand, an emotional tribute to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz took place two years after his physical disappearance on 25 November 2016.
The event, which featured the screening of the film "The Four Years that Shaken the World" and artistic presentations by Cuban musicians, was attended by the Cuban community in Thailand and representatives of Thai institutions and counterparts.
KINGSTON, JAMAICA, 22 November, 2018.- Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health of Jamaica, Sancia Bennett Templer, highlighted the important work carried out by Cuban medical collaborators in this sister Caribbean nation.
During a meeting with the Cuban Ambassador, Inés Fors Fernández, held at the Ministry of Health in this capital, the senior official reiterated the appreciation of her government for the permanent cooperation of Cuba that contributes to the betterment of the health care servies in the country.

Vargas Walter and the representative of the Ministry of Education of Cuba, José Reinel García Sánchez.

To commemorate the second anniversary of the eternal presence of the Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, the Cuban Embassy in Austria, "ÖKG", the Austrian-Cuba Friendship Association and "CubaVa", the Association of Cuban Residents brought together in Vienna friends of Cuba, members of the accredited Diplomatic Corps, Austrian authorities and Cuban residents, in a heartfelt event of homage and remembrance to his fruitful life and work.
