Statement to the press by Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, Director General for US Affairs at Cuba's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the provisions and regulations issued by the Departments of State, the Treasury and Commerce on November 8, 2017

Today, November 8, the Departments of State, the Treasury and Commerce issued new provisions and regulations to implement the measures aimed at strengthening the blockade on Cuba announced on the past June 6, by President Trump and included in the executive order entitled “National Security Presidential Memorandum on Strengthening the Policy of the United States Toward Cuba”, which established the policy of his government towards our country.

THE AMBASSADOR OF CUBA RECEIVED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PARLIAMENT OF SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES

The Cuban Ambassador Vilma Reyes Valdespino was received in audience by the President of the Parliament of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Honorable Jomo Sanga Thomas, at the headquarters of the Vincentian Assembly.

Jomo Thomas expressed his satisfaction at the overwhelming victory of the Cuban Resolution against the Blockade, presented at the General Assembly of the United Nations organization on November 1.

Glasgow’s Lord Provost Eva Bolander received the Cuban Ambassador to the United Kingdom

Glasgow’s Lord Provost Eva Bolander received the Cuban Ambassador to the United Kingdom Teresita Vicente and the Minister Counselor Antonio Rodriguez at Glasgow Government’s headquarters on November 9th, 2017, where they tackled the historic links between Glasgow and Havana, sister cities. Talks took place in a friendly atmosphere and both parties shared their interest to broadening relations.

The Ambassador thanked Glasgow authorities for their support to the accomplishment of Havana Film Festival every year.
