Cuban experience in cooperatives presented at Workers Day event in Blackball

Blackball, May 1st 2017.- On the occasion Workers Day celebrations, the Ambassador of Cuba, Mario Alzugaray, took part in a seminar on the current situation and future scenarios for the West Coast. Also addressing the audience were Damian O´Conor and Julie - Ann Genter, MP´s from Labour and Green, respectively.  The Mayor of Greymouth, Tony Kokshoorn and known filmmaker and activist Paul Maunder, also attended the event.

Cuban Ambassador reinforces ties of friendship with Trade Unions in Ghana

The Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González participated in the central celebration of the May Day Parade carried out in the Black Star Square in Accra. 

In the activity, which counted with the participation of the President of the Republic, Nana Dankwa Addo Akufo-Addo, was mentioned the presence of the Cuban diplomat in the words expressed to the audience by Dr. Yaw Baah, Secretary General of the Trades Union Congress (TUC). 

A May Day of commitment

The march celebrating International Workers Day begins in Havana with President Raúl Castro on hand 

Today May 1, a march celebrating International Workers Day is taking place in Havana, with Army General Raúl Castro, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Councils of State and Ministers, on hand.

Fifty thousand youth led the parade of workers in the capital on May Day which was dedicated to them this year, as the present and future of the homeland.

Emir of Kuwait sent a condolences message to President Raúl for aviation accident in Cuba.

Kuwait, May 1, 2017.The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a message of condolences to the President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Army General Raul Castro Ruz, for the tragic An accident on Saturday, April 29, of an AN-26 aircraft belonging to the Revolutionary Armed Forces, In which eight soldiers on board died, including crew members. The Emir extended his condolences to the families of the victims.

Former Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda visits ICAP

Former premier Antigua and Barbuda, Winston Baldwin Spencer exchanged with Fernando González Llort, Hero of the Republic of Cuba and president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), on his visit to that institution.


Both Baldwin Spencer and the delegation that accompanied him received extensive information from Fernando related to the work of ICAP and the struggles in which the Cuban social institution accompanied by the International Movement of Solidarity with Cuba is immersed.
