The continuing unilateral discriminatory prohibitions and restrictions imposed by some States against others in terms of transfers for the peaceful use of materials, equipment and technology in the chemical field are unacceptable and need to be repealed. A clear example is the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed against Cuba, in flagrant violation of the letter and the spirit of the Chemical Weapons Convention. On innumerable occasions, most of the international community has rejected the imposition of unilateral coercive measures impeding the full realization of the economic and social development of peoples, particularly the developing countries. Cuba strongly repudiates this practice and urges the States once again to refrain from promulgating and applying any unilateral economic, financial or trade measures not in accordance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
Kuwait, Oct. 26, 2016. Andres Gonzalez Garrido, ambassador of Cuba in Kuwait visited the headquarters of the weekly magazine The Times of Kuwait, where he held a meeting with his editor in chief Reaven de Souza.
During the meeting they discussed various international issues of interest, including the vote of the Cuban resolution against the blockade, that to be held this October 26 during the sessions of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
Banjul, October 25th, 2016.- That was assured by the Ambassador of Cuba to Banjul, Lázaro Herrera, in an interview published full page by the newspaper Daily Observer where Ambassador pointed out: "...
