CANBERRA, ACT – 19 February 2017 – As it is usual every year, the Embassy of Cuba participated in the Multicultural Festival that takes place in Canberra.

Indonesia, February 18, 2016. A representation of Cubans residents in Indonesia held a friendly meeting at the Diplomatic Mission of our country in this capital, on the occasion of the 58th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution and the 164th Anniversary of the Birth of Jose Martí.

During the meeting they exchanged with the diplomats of the Mission about topics of interest related to the events in Cuba and they remembered anecdotes of their life at the homeland. The activity was enlivened with typical Cuban dishes and drinks.

The Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, received a representation of the Cuban Solidarity Campaign with the objective to thank of all them for the support to the Cuban people during 2016.

The Cuban Ambassador ratified the historic Cuban´s commitments towards the Ghanaian people and emphasized how in the 2016, our friends in Ghana celebrated the 90 birthday of Fidel Castro, have also participated in his farewell; as well as they have kept denouncing the U.S blockade against the Cuban people.

Cuban Ambassador Oscar Martinez Cordoves presented the experience of the General System of Cuban Education at an International Seminar held at the University of New Delhi under the title "Dialectics of Education: Comparative and International Perspective. " in the presence of professors and university students from India and guests from other African and Asian countries attending the conference.

Cuban children will round off activities as part of the 26th Havana International Book Fair by flying kites at the La Cabaña Fortress on Saturday, February 18, to demand an end to the U.S. blockade against Cuba

In the morning of this Friday, February 17, 2017, comrade Ernesto Gómez Díaz, presented to the President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, the credentials that accredit him as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Kenya.
