Latin Americans bring solidarity with Cuba to fruition

Havana, 1 August 2022. Women and men from Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru and the Dominican Republic on Monday were part of the 27th Latin American and Caribbean Brigade of Voluntary Work and Solidarity with Cuba.

Such a solidarity brigade, made up of 80 people, was established on Monday at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp, located in the western province of Artemisa.

Cuban students win gold medals in the South African International Ballet Competition

At the age of 18 years old, students Carolina Rodríguez Pérez and Pedro Domínguez Alcántara, from the Fernando Alonso National Ballet School, won several gold medals in the ninth edition of the South African International Ballet Competition.

The dancers obtained the highest award in the classical and contemporary modalities, senior category, with the interpretation of the works Grand Pas de Deux Classique and Spirit, respectively. Carolina Rodríguez Pérez received the special award from the Jury.

The 26th July is indelibly inscribed in the annals of Cuban history because this day marked a turning point in the struggle against the tyranny, oppression and corruption of the Batista regime in Cuba. On 26th July 1953, led by Fidel Castro, his brother Raul and many other valiant young Cubans, they decided to attack the Moncada Barracks, the largest military headquarters of the Batista regime in  Santiago de Cuba province, an attempt to overthrown his government and his reign of terror on the Cuban people.

Cuba received recognition from the Jamaican government for its medical cooperation support during the Covid-19 confrontation.

Kingston, Jamaica, 31 July 2022 (Prensa Latina). Cuba received recognition from the Jamaican government for its medical cooperation support during the Covid-19 confrontation, informed the Cuban ambassador in Kingston, Fermín Quiñones.

Through his Twitter account, Quiñones thanked the Minister of Health and Welfare of that Caribbean nation, Chris Tufton, for the gesture.

During the fight against the pandemic, more than 500 Cuban health collaborators provided services in public medical centers in Jamaica.

Oslo, July 31, 2022. The 69th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada garrison, a transcendental event in the history of Cuba, was celebrated in this city with a political and cultural activity.

Members of the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association, the Communist Party of Norway, the Rødt Party, the Bolivarian groups and the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions; diplomats from the sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela; Cuban residents; representatives from the FSLN and FMLN, and friends in general, joined the Embassy staff for the occasion.

Embassy of Cuba celebrates the National Rebellion's Day

The Embassy of Cuba in Kuwait commemorated the 69th Anniversary of our National Rebellion Day, together with the Cuban Health personnel who work in this country and the brother ambassadors of Nicaragua and Venezuela.

At the political activity, it was highlighted the historical continuity of our Revolution and the necessary unity around our leaders, in these complex moments for the country. Joy and sharing were not lacking in this celebration.
