As part of the strengthening of relations between our countries in different spheres, the Ambassador of Cuba María Caridad Balaguer Labrada held a fruitful meeting with Mr. Marcello Blake, President of the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry and representatives from BCCI.

Cuba participates in "Indian Saree Show" in Monrovia.

Monrovia, September 11, 2022 - Organized by the Embassy of India in Liberia and the Indian Women's Association on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Independence of the Asian country, took place in Monrovia the "Indian Saree Show", a festival that brought the public closer to the culture of India.

The Cuban Embassy in Liberia was represented by the Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, who participated in this event that revealed traditions and customs of India, being present its dance, gastronomy and art.

Dynamic test is carried out for voting abroad on the referendum for the Family Code

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla reported on Twitter that he successfully concluded the dynamic test for the referendum vote on the Family Code that took place this Sunday among Cubans on diplomatic missions or work commitments abroad.

The Special Electoral Commission of the Minrex informs that the conditions for the development of the referendum process are guaranteed, said Rodríguez Parrilla.

Riyadh, September 11th - The Cuban Ambassador, Vladimir González, was welcomed by the deputy governor of Riyadh region, His Highness Prince Muhammad bin Abdulrahman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, at the headquarters of Riyadh Principality, located in the historic part of the capital city.

During the meeting, the Cuban diplomat thanked the opportunity to be received by His Highness the Prince, and expressed the purpose of establishing working relationships and supporting projects of common interest for the respective countries.

Cuban ambassador participates in accession ceremony in New Zealand.

Wellington September 11. At the invitation of the Prime Minister, The Right Honorable Jacinda Ardern, Ambassador Edgardo Valdés attended the Accession Ceremony in Parliament, in which New Zealand officially recognized H.M. King Charles III as it's Sovereign and Head of State.

Members of the Government, Parliament, the Diplomatic Corps, and the general public accompanied the Governor General and the Prime Minister at this historic moment.


Georgetown University event in Qatar “A Coffee Chat with the Ambassador: Reflections on Diplomacy and Foreign Service”

Cuban Ambassador Oscar Leon Gonzalez held a focused discussion with students of Georgetown University in Qatar as part of a panel of Latin American ambassadors and representatives accredited in Doha, which took place on September 8.

The student-led Latin American and Caribbean Society organized the event, where Dean Clyde Wilcox and other guests also assisted.

Cuba to celebrate anniversary of 2030 Agenda’s approval

Havana, 10 September 2022. The Havana-based Oswaldo Guayasamin House Museum is organizing a cultural event to mark the seventh anniversary of the approval of the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.

The event will take place from September 19 to 23 at the building dedicated to the Ecuadorian painter and, according to the Office of the City Historian, it will promote equality and respect among people.
