Enforcement of the U.S. blockade in Argentina forces Cubana de Aviación to suspend flights

In March 2024, the company Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales S.A. (YPF) of the Republic of Argentina informed the airline Cubana de Aviación of its refusal to continue supplying fuel to its aircrafts, in application of the United States blockade against Cuba.

Dublin, August 6, 2022. On August 4, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Carlos Fernández de Cossío Domínguez, offered an interview to Aarón Kelly, Coordinator and Representative in Ireland of the Network in Defense of the Humanity. Vice Minister Cossío analyzed the ongoing damage caused by the US blockade, Cuba's anti-imperialist resistance and the vision of a multipolar world based on respect, cooperation and equality.

Monrovia, January 30, 2022 - Liberian friends joined the voices of many countries of the world in denouncing the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America on the Greater Antilles and demanding the end of this genocidal policy against the Cuban people.

On this day, there were dissimilar expressions of support for Cuba and condemnation of the blockade, considered the longest, cruelest and most inhumane in the history of mankind.

Liberia-Cuba Friendship Group reiterates condemnation of blockade to Cuba.

Monrovia, June 23, 2021 - The "Daily Observer" newspaper, one of the most widely read Liberian newspapers in the country, published an extensive and positive article on the vote that will take place today at the United Nations on the Cuban Resolution against the U.S. Blockade.

The article develops the topic based on an interview made yesterday to the head of the Cuban Mission in that West African country Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera where she exposed the losses caused to her country and the damages caused to the Cuban people.

Head of the Cuban Mission in Liberia offers statements on the effects of the blockade on Cuba.

Monrovia, June 22, 2021 - A few hours before the vote at the United Nations, the Cuban Head of Mission in Liberia Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera made statements to friends of Cuba and the media condemning and repudiating the U.S. blockade of the largest of the Antilles.

The Cuban diplomat explained the arguments of the denunciation against the blockade that the Cuban government will present tomorrow before the United Nations General Assembly.

Just hours before the UNGA vote, Liberia-Cuba friendship group issues statement condemning the blockade against the island.

Monrovia, June 21, 2021 - As a sign of the solidarity that unites them with the Cuban people, members of the Liberia-Cuba friendship group sent a statement condemning the economic and commercial blockade of the United States against Cuba.

They underline in their letter that the blockade contradicts the basic principles of international dialogue and the tendencies towards the formation of a multipolar world, which should be based on the equality and sovereignty of the peoples.
