A JUBILOUS AND PATRIOTIC COMMEMORATION OF THE DAY OF CUBAN CULTURE IN SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES

With a patriotic and colorful political-cultural activity at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the day of Cuban national culture was celebrated and the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the wars of independence was commemorated.

In her speech, Cuban Ambassador Vilma Reyes Valdespino, referred to the historical context, in which this ephemerid, so special for the nation, takes its origin and stressed that culture, rebellion and independence are the basis of Cuban identity.

THE YOUNG GENERATION OF CUBANS, RESIDENTS IN SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES BROUGHT TALENT AND PATRIOTISM TO THE CELEBRATION OF THE CUBAN DAY OF CULTURE.

The young generation of Cubans living in St. Vincent and the Grenadines was present at the Embassy of Cuba to participate in the celebration of culture day, with their own contribution of talent and patriotism.

With their virtuoso performances of the Bayamo Hymn and other Cuban melodies on Steel Pan, the children Mathew Ernesto Ralph Israel and Michel Enrique Israel, made a substantive contribution to the celebration of Cuban National Culture Day.

PRESIDENT OF THE ASSOCIATION OF FRIENDSHIP SAN VICENTE AND GRANADINAS-CUBA, RENWICK ROSE, READ THE DECLARATION OF THAT SOLIDARITY ORGANIZATION

During the celebration in the Embassy of Cuba, the day of the National Culture and the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the wars of independence, Renwick Rose, President of the Friendship Association Saint Vincent and the Grenadines-Cuba, read a Declaration, issued by that organization, a few days before, on the occasion of the anniversary and pondered the historical coincidence that, at this time, the Vincentian people are preparing to celebrate a new anniversary of its existence as an independent State.

THE ASSOCIATION OF CUBAN RESIDENTS IN SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES ISSUED A COMBATIVE DECLARATION ON THE OCCASION OF THE CELEBRATION OF THE DAY OF CULTURE AND THE 150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE START OF THE WARS FOR CUBAN INDEPENDENCE

In the activity to celebrate the Day of Cuban Culture, Arianna Taylor Israel, the President of the Association of Cubans living in St. Vincent and the Grenadines "Juan Almeida Bosque", read a Declaration issued by that organization in which it demanded the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba and the return of the territory, illegally occupied by the Guantánamo Naval Base.

CUBAN RESIDENTS IN SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES STRONGLY CONDEMN THE US ECONOMIC, COMMERCIAL AND FINANCIAL BLOCKADE AGAINST CUBA

The Ambassador of Cuba in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, met with Arianna Taylor Israel, President of the Association of Cuban Residents "Juan Almeyda Bosque".

The President of the Association praised the presence of the issue of the blockade during the General Debate of the 73rd session of the UNGA and confirmed that Cubans, living in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, strongly condemn the economic and commercial economic blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.

PRIME MINISTER OF SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES CONDEMNS THE BLOCKADE AGAINST CUBA

The Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph E. Gonsalves, condemned from the rostrum of the General Assembly of the United Nations, the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.

“Saint Vincent and the Grenadines stands firmly against the continued interventionist assaults on the sovereignty of our neighbors in the Republic of Cuba and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

PRESIDENT OF THE PARLIAMENT OF SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES REITERATES HIS SUPPORT AND SOLIDARITY WITH THE CUBAN AND WORLD BATTLE FOR THE LIFTING OF THE BLOCKING OF THE USA AGAINST THE LARGEST ISLAND OF THE GREATER ANTILLES.

The Ambassador of Cuba, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, was received by Mr. Jomo Sanga Thomas, President of the Parliament of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, at the headquarters of the Assembly.

Jomo Thomas warmly referred, to the recent visit he made to Cuba, together with the Vice President of parliament, Carlos James.

Trump takes US policy towards Cuba one step back

HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 16 (ACN) US President Donald Trump today unveiled a new US policy toward Cuba from the southern state of Florida that reinforces the extraterritorial economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by that government on the island. The president signed a document setting out the priorities of his government, including compliance with US law on the Cuban nation, in particular the provisions that govern the blockade and the prohibition of the citizens of that country to visit Cuba.
