We live, those of us who speak Spanish, all full of Horace and Virgil, and it seems that the boundaries of our spirit are those of our language. Why should foreign literatures be almost a forbidden fruit, so abundant today of that natural environment, sincere strength and current spirit that is missing in modern Spanish literature?
