The 6th Congress of the Communist Party of Poland against the blockade of Cuba
Warsaw, November 2, 2023
The 6th Congress of the Communist Party of Poland strongly condemns the illegal and inhumane economic blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States and demands its abolishment.
The „act” known as Helms-Burton Act which is a part of this blockade, puts the illegal sanctions on companies from third countries, which were conducting their businesses on Cuba. These actions were frequently condemned by the international community, including the United Nations General Assembly, defined as breaking of international law.

The Communist Party of Poland condemns the unlawful blockade of Cuba imposed by the United States and suppoorts activities of the international community demanding lifting of the blockade.
We strongly advocate the draft resolution „Necessity of Ending the Economic, Commercial, and Financial Blockade Imposed by the United States of America Against Cuba”, which will be discussing and voting by he United Nations General Assembly. This resolutrion demands Washington to follow the principles of the international law.

Mr. President,
Last 26 February, the Cuban Government issued a Statement on the events in Ukraine, clearly adopting a stance in favor of a solution that guarantees the security and sovereignty of all and addresses legitimate humanitarian concerns.
