By Benjamin Flowers: As anti-government protests rage on in Cuba, former Prime Minister of Belize Said Musa has publicly declared his support for the country and its people.
Musa took to his Facebook account today, noting that, while protests are an occurrence that every nation in the world must contend with on occasion, the people of Cuba have a unique situation.
Monrovia, September 16, 2020 - The Cuban Head of Mission in Liberia, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Honorable Maxwell P. Vah, Assistant Minister for the Americas.
In the meeting that took place in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, topics of interest for both countries were discussed.
Among the issues discussed was the situation of Cuba in front of COVID-19, and challenges imposed by the current pandemic.
Belize observes the Cuba-Caricom Day, which is celebrated every December the 8th.

Canberra, February 14th, 2019. –In an official ceremony held at the Government House in Canberra, the Governor General of the Commonwealth of Australia, Sir Peter Cosgrove, received the letters of credence of Ariel Lorenzo Rodríguez as the new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to that country.
Namibia, January 31st, 2019- Cuban Ambassador, Sidenio Acosta Aday, was received by the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia, H.E. Christine Hoebes, at the headquarters of that Ministry. This first meeting between them happened in the usual climate of brotherhood that characterizes the historical ties between the two countries.
Namibia, November 9th, 2018- The President of the Republic of Namibia, H.E. Hage Geingob, received the ambassador of Cuba, Giraldo Mazola, in the State House of this African nation. The Cuban diplomat paid a courtesy call President Geingob on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission in Namibia.
Cuba and Syria confirm the excellent condition of bilateral relations
Damascus, November 4, 2018 - The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary appointed by the Republic of Cuba to the Syrian Arab Republic, Miguel Porto Parga, was received this morning by Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Al-Moallem, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, to whom the Cuban diplomat handed the Style Copy of the Credential Letter that formalizes his status as representative of the Caribbean country.
