Saint Lucia receives Cuban cooperation in education.

Castries, March 1, 2018. The Minister of Education, Innovation, Gender Relations and Sustainable Development of Saint Lucia, Dr. Gale Tracy Christiane Rigobert and the Cuban Ambassador in that island, Jorge Francisco Soberon Luis, signed on Monday, the 19th of February 2018, in the offices of the Saint Lucian Government, the Memorandum of Understanding for bilateral cooperation in education.

Cuban Ambassador receives Saint Lucian parliamentary leader.

The Cuban Ambassador in Saint Lucia, Jorge Soberon, received on October 4, 2017, at the diplomatic mission, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Honorable Leonne Theodore-John. During the meeting, the friendly relationship between the two countries and the support of the Saint Lucian House of Assembly for the development of cooperation were confirmed, particularly in the areas of health and education.

Cuban Chargé d'affaires a.i. greets and exchanges briefly with the Ministers of State for External Affairs of India.

New Delhi, July 21, 2017. Marileydis Dueñas Morales, Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy in India greeted and exchanged briefly with the ministers of state of Foreign Affairs of India, General  (Rtd). V. K. Singh and later with M. J. Akbar to thank India's traditional support to  the Cuban Resolution against the Blockade.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal received Chargé d'affaires a.i. of Cuba in India.

India, July 4, 2017. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, received on Monday the Chargé d' Affaires a.i. of Cuba, Marileydis Dueñas Morales, in the framework of his official visit to India, from July 2 to 4 of this year.


During the meeting the Nepalese leader thanked the support of the Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla to an important candidacy for that country and exchanged on other matters of mutual interest.

Cuban Ambassador briefly exchanges with the President of Nepal

New Delhi, April 19, 2017. Cuban Ambassador Oscar Martínez Cordovés greet the President of Nepal, Hon. Ms. Bidya Devi Bhandari, during the welcoming ceremony hosted yesterday by the President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan, during the first official visit to this country of the Nepalese leader, from 17 to 21 this month.

The brief exchange was conducive for the Cuban Ambassador to reiterate to the Honorable President the desire of strengthening the  bilateral ties between the two countries.

Chief Minister of Kerala, India, receives the Cuban Ambassador.

New Delhi, April 16, 2017. Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister of the State of Kerala, welcomed the Cuban ambassador to India, Oscar Martínez Cordovés, in view of the historical ties that have existed between our country and that state which is actually led by a Left government.

The meeting,that took place in a fraternal atmosphere, was conducive to examining issues on the bilateral agenda regarding the potential for the development of economic ties and the cooperation in general.

Bangladesh, Cuba carry same objectives, ideologies

Oscar Israel Martinez Cordoves, Ambassador of Republic of Cuba to New Delhi, recently came to Dhaka for one-day visit to attend Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) Summit. During his visit, he spoke on Fidel Castro, who recently passed away, Bangladesh, Cuba relations and other important issues including health sector of Cuba in an inclusive interview with The Asian age. The interview was taken by Golam Rosul, Senior Sub-editor, The Asian Age at honorary consul of Cuba, Bangladesh, Obaid Jaigirdar's residence at Banani, Dhaka.
