The Guild of Graduates of Cuba in St. Lucia has released a statement supporting the nomination for the Cuban Henry Reeve Brigade for the Nobel Peace Prize. The GUILD is overjoyed at the news that the Henry Reeve Brigade has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Considering all that Cuba has done for us as individuals, for the Caribbean Community, and the world, we believe that we speak for the more than 700 Saint Lucians who have benefitted from the Cuban higher education system, when we express our complete support for this initiative.
Donation from the Medical Brigade in Saint Lucia to the fight against COVID-19 in Cuba.
The members of the Cuban Medical Brigade working in Saint Lucia have taken the initiative of collaborating through a monetary donation to the fight against the Covid 19 pandemic that our country is waging. The Coordinator of the Medical Brigade Arvelio Ballester informed the group on mission of this contribution which was made through a bank transfer. The Cuban health workers in Saint Lucia reaffirm their commitment to the Homeland with this noble and supportive gesture.

Sunday, June 21, 2020 — The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) expressed its deep appreciation to the Republic of Cuba for the medical support provided to six (6) member countries of the Organisation to assist with efforts to combat the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the OECS and wider Caribbean region.
