PRESS RELEASE BY THE HUMANISTIC SOLIDARITY ASSOCIATION Cuba Saint Lucia – Now that the Cuban medical brigade comprising doctors, bio-engineers and nurses have started assisting in the local fight against COVID-19, it behooves us to not only support their efforts alongside our local health practitioners already on the front line, but also for our people to welcome and appreciate their presence here, just like those other fellow Cubans who have been assisting locally at the Victoria Hospital eye clinic and other sections of the national health service.

US BLOCKADE PREVENTS MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO CUBA AMIDST COVID-19
The Humanistic Solidarity Association (Saint Lucia - Cuba) wishes to express its continuing deep solidarity with the Government and People of Cuba, on the occasion of the recent inhuman and undemocratic actions by the Government of the United States of America, amidst the struggle by the international community of nations, faced with the COVID-19 pandemic.
St Lucia Government welcomes Cuban medical team.
Prime Minister Honourable Allen Chastanet has expressed immense thanks to the Government and People of Cuba as 113 Cuban medical professionals arrived in Saint Lucia to lend support to Saint Lucia’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the health system amid the COVID-19 pandemic. “We know that every country in the world is facing their own challenges at this time including Cuba and we are so very thankful for this immense show of brotherhood from this longstanding friend of Saint Lucia,” said PM Chastanet.
