Cuban and Saudi diplomatic institutes signed a cooperation program
Riyadh, January 17th – During a simple and symbolic ceremony, a Cooperation Program between “Raúl Roa García” Higher Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba and Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia was signed here.
On the Cuban side, the Ambassador to the Kingdom, Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada, signed the document, while on the Saudi side it was signed by the acting director general of the academy, Dr. Adel bin Hassan Al-Omrani.
Celebrated in Riyadh the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution
Riyadh, January 1st – On the night of Sunday, December 31st, members of the Cuban State Mission and several compatriots and friends residing in the Saudi capital met at the Cuban Residence, to bid farewell the year 2023, welcome 2024 and celebrate the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.
In an atmosphere of camaraderie and fraternity, the participants in the event shared the professional and personal experiences lived during the arduous year that concluded, with the hope that 2024 brings us much health, well-being and success.
Football associations of Cuba and Saudi Arabia sign cooperation agreement
Jeddah, December 21st – On the sidelines of the FIFA Club World Cup being held in this Saudi city, the Cuban Football Association (AFC) and the Saudi Arabia Football Federation (SAFF) signed a cooperation agreement with the aim of consolidating and further developing a close work relationship, sharing resources and experience, and cooperating bilaterally in this sporting discipline.
Cuba and Saudi Arabia set up Joint Business Council
Riyadh, November 27th – With the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba (CCRC) and the Federation of Saudi Chambers (FSC), the Joint Business Council between both countries was officially established. It will allow to better enjoy future business and investment opportunities, in order to promote economic and commercial relations.
The document was signed by the president of the CCRC, Antonio Carricarte Corona, and his Saudi counterpart, Mr. Hassan Muajeb Al-Hwaizy.
