Port of Spain July 26th, 2022. The Solidarity movement "Trinidad and Tobago Friends of Cuba" and leaders of national political and trade union forces, joined the collaborators of the Cuban Medical Brigade and Cuban residents to celebrate the historic event at the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission.
With emotional words, the participants recalled the revolutionary action led by Fidel on July 26, 1953, which years later would lead to the triumph of the victorious Revolution on January 1st, 1959.
Cuban revolutionaries today invoke the perseverance of those young men who in July 1953, led by the lawyer Fidel Castro, assaulted two of the main military fortresses, to unleash the struggle against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. The actions did not culminate in military success, but after the bloody repression, the young people of the generation of the centenary of the birth of José Martí regrouped forces and outlined objectives.
Port of Spain, July 25, 2022. The group of the diplomatic mission in Trinidad and Tobago joins the celebrations for the National Rebellion Day. Its members gathered at the venue to carry out cleaning and beautification tasks, as well as to finalize details with a view to celebrating the anniversary in the central activity next Tuesday, July 26.

With emotional political acts, the collaborators of the Cuban Medical Brigade (BMC) who provide services in the regions of Port of Spain and Eric Williams began the day of celebration for the National Rebellion Day. The notes of the national anthems of the Republic of Cuba and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago were the preamble to the beginning of the activities that were chaired by Tania Diego Olite, Ambassador of Cuba and Dr. Orlando Lázaro Díaz Gómez, coordinator of the BMC.
