Liberia-Cuba solidarity group congratulates Cuban people and government on the occasion of National Rebellion Day.

Monrovia, July 26, 2024 - This afternoon, members of the Liberia-Cuba solidarity group joined the Cuban Embassy in that West African country to commemorate one of the most important days in the history of Cuba, the Day of National Rebellion, a date that marked the beginning of the final stage of the struggles for independence.

On this day of celebration for all Cubans, the friends of solidarity congratulated the government and people of Cuba, a country that educated and welcomed many Liberians who attended free courses.

Liberia-Cuba Solidarity Group issues statement rejecting destabilization attempts against the Greater Antilles.

Monrovia, March 19, 2024 - The Liberia-Cuba Solidarity Group expressed its support to the Cuban government and rejection of incitements to destabilization by enemies of the Cuban Revolution who incite violence, social unrest and seek to disrupt peace.

Monrovia, February 5, 2024.- The Executive of the Liberia-Cuba solidarity group paid a visit to the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia where they met with the Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

In the exchange it was evidenced that the ties of solidarity and support to the Greater of the Antilles continue to be strengthened as respect to the dignity of our country and that solidarity cannot be blocked.

Monrovia, November 5, 2023 - The Liberia-Cuba Friendship Group issues a statement of support to Cuba for its resounding victory at the United Nations, which once again evidences the overwhelming call of the international community to put an end to the genocidal blockade.

Through its president Kesselee Kanneh, who visited our Embassy to deliver the statement, the solidarity group supported Cuba in its struggle against the genocidal blockade that overwhelms the largest of the Antilles.

 

Online debate inspired by the figure of Ché Guevara took place in the Philippines

Manila, Oct 9, 2023.- This Monday the Philippines-Cuba Cultural and Friendship Association, PHILCUBA, convened a debate inspired by the life and feats of Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, Ché, on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of his death.

The Cuban Ambassador to Malaysia, the Philippines and Brunei, Florentino Batista González, participated in the meeting that took place online and where several of the speakers approached the figure of Ernesto Guevara, as well as his example and the challenges he faced as an internationalist.

Kuala Lumpur, 24 June, 2023.- The Annual General Meeting of Friends of Cuba Association in Malaysia, FOCA, took place this Saturday, June 24.
The meeting was chaired by Fahmy Khai, president of FOCA and had as a special guest the Ambassador of Cuba to Malaysia, Florentino Batista González.
In his speech as an honorary member of Friends of Cuba, Ambassador Florentino Batista González remarked that efforts must continue to bring new members to the organization, as well as to promote Cuba in this part of the world.

Manila, June 13, 2023- The Cuban Ambassador to Malaysia, Concurrent in the Philippines, Florentino Batista González held a working meeting this Tuesday with Stephanie Alexis A. Cruz, Director of the Division III Mexico and Central America of the Office of American Affairs of the Department of Foreign Affairs, DFA.

At the meeting, the official and the Cuban ambassador discussed issues of interest to both nations while reviewing the status of initiatives to improve bilateral relations.

Monrovia, June 7, 2023 - The Liberia-Cuba solidarity group, formed among its members by connoisseurs and followers of the culture of the Greater Antilles, condemned the campaign of sabotage and aggression against Cuban culture and its prestigious artists and intellectuals who were recently the target of aggressions encouraged, promoted and carried out by elements of the transnational extreme right.
