South Africa commemorates the anniversary of the Battle of Cuito Cuanavale

Pretoria, March 23, 2024.- Representatives of South African parties and associations, Cubans present in the country and diplomatic personnel from various African nations celebrated today the 36th anniversary of the battle of Cuito Cuanavale, in Angola. The commemoration of that epopee is recognised as Liberation Day by the nations of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

South African foreign minister calls for an end to US blockade against Cuba

Havana, March 20, 2024.- South Africa's Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Naledi Pandor, said in Washington that the US blockade against Cuba must end. "We have never supported unilateral sanctions against the Cuban people," the South African foreign minister said in brief statements to the Prensa Latina news agency.
