Pretoria, January 28, 2019.- Members of the Embassy of Cuba, members of the collaborative missions and Cubans residents in South Africa, gathered to pay tribute to the National Hero of Cuba, in the context of the 166th anniversary of his birth.
Declaration of the Revolutionary Government: The aggression against Venezuela must stop
Havana, January 23, 2019.- The Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Cuba strongly condemns and rejects the attempt to impose through a coup a puppet government in the service of the United States in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and expresses its unwavering solidarity with the Government of the constitutional president Nicolás Maduro Moros.
Ambassador of Cuba exchanges with Blade Nzimande, Minister of Transport and Secretary General of the Communist Party of South Africa
Pretoria, January 22 2019.- The Ambassador of Cuba in South Africa, Rodolfo Benítez Verson, held a meeting at the Embassy of the Island in Pretoria with Comrade Bonginkosi Emmanuel "Blade" Nzimande, Minister of Transport and Secretary General of the Communist Party of South Africa.
During the meeting the parties exchanged on various issues of the bilateral and international agenda, and preparations were completed for the work visit to Cuba of Comrade Nzimande at the head of a South African delegation, from January 20-23.

Pretoria, January 18,2019.- On January 16, 2019, the US State Department announced the decision to suspend, only for 45 days, the implementation of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act, “in order to conduct a careful review …in light of the national interests of the United States and the efforts to expedite a transition to democracy in Cuba, and include factors such as the Cuba’s regime’s brutal oppression of human rights and fundamental freedoms and its indefensible support for increasingly authoritarian and corrupt regimes in Venezuela and Nicaragua.”

Pretoria, 18 de enero de 2019.- El 16 de enero de 2019, el Departamento de Estado de los Estados Unidos anunció la decisión de suspender sólo por 45 días la aplicación del título III de la Ley Helms-Burton, “para realizar una cuidadosa revisión… a la luz de los intereses nacionales de los Estados Unidos y los esfuerzos por acelerar una transición hacia la democracia en Cuba, e incluir elementos tales como la brutal opresión del régimen contra los derechos humanos y las libertades fundamentales y su inexcusable apoyo a los regímenes cada vez más autoritarios y corruptos de V
