Sri Lanka's Chief of Protocol receives Copies of Style from the Cuban Ambassador
Sri Lanka, June 25, 2021. The Chief of Protocol of Sri Lanka, Thushara Rodrigo, received this Friday, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the new Ambassador of Cuba, Andrés Marcelo González Garrido.
At the ceremony , the diplomat presented the Copies of Style that accredit him as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba rejects, in the strongest possible terms, the US State Department’s certification of Cuba as country that is not cooperating fully with the United States counterterrorism efforts, published by the Federal Register of that country on May 25, 2021.

The Secretary General of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka, Dr. G. Weerasinghe sent a message of congratulations to his Cuban counterpart on his recent election as First Secretary of the Cuban Party and acknowledged the services rendered to the party as well as to his people.
