President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez offers exclusive interview with teleSUR

For the first time since he assumed the presidency of Cuba in April, Miguel Mario Díaz-Canel Bermúdez granted an in-depth interview to a foreign media outlet.

Journalist Patricia Villegas of the multinational channel teleSUR, founded precisely as a voice for progressive movements of Our America and the rest of the world, and as an alternative to mass hegemonic media, conversed with the Cuban President in the Palace of the Revolution.

Cuba publishes annual report on blockade damage.

The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs published Friday the annual report on the damages suffered in the Island due to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States for almost six decades.
The document, which covers the period between April 2017 and March 2018, denounces that the hostile US policy has intensified, continues to apply rigorously and in the analyzed period caused losses to Cuba calculated at about 4,321,200,000,000 Dollars.

Cuba participates in the 9th Extraordinary Meeting of the Ministerial Council of the ACS.


Port of Spain, August 1st, 2018 – The permanent representative of Cuba to the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), Ambassador Guillermo Vázquez Moreno, headed the Cuban delegation that participated in the 9th Extraordinary Meeting of the Ministerial Council of the ACS that took place in this capital.

Participating in the meeting were the member states with the objective of examining and approving the terms of reference for the directors of the organization that would be chosen in the next Ministerial Council.
