Statement by Carlos Fernández de Cossío, General Director for U.S. Affairs on U.S. State Department's false accusations

The General Director for U.S. Affairs at the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Fernández de Cossío, rejected the text on Cuba published by the U.S. Secretary of State in the night of December 10th, 2018. “With a lack of decorum which is usual in the government of the United States when referring to the human rights issue, the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has made public a letter he says to have sent to the Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, but had not been received at the time it was published”, said the Director.

Farewell activity of the Cuban Ambassador presided over by the Speaker of the House and the Minister of Trade and Industry.

Port of Spain, November 30th, 2018 – Officials of the Government and State, representatives of the social movements, businessmen, academics, recognized figures of the Trinidadian civil society and the diplomatic corps accredited in Port of Spain, participated in the farewell activity on the occasion of the end of tenure of the Ambassador of Cuba to Trinidad and Tobago and permanent representative to the Association of Caribbean States, Cro. Guillermo Vazquez Moreno, in the Caribbean sister island.

Movement for Social Justice (MSJ) awards recognition to the Cuban Ambassador.

Port of Spain, November 26th, 2018 – The Movement for Social Justice (MSJ) awarded the Cuban Ambassador Cro. Guillermo Vazquez Moreno, a recognition on concluding his mission in Trinidad and Tobago. The same was presented at the MSJ’s Annual Convention, which hold in its majority the members of the solidarity movement with Cuba and lead by David Abdulah, recognized political figure in the country.
