Port of Spain, April 12. -The Honorable Senator and Minister of Foreign Affairs and CARICOM of Trinidad and Tobago, Dennis Moses, received H.E. Guillermo Vázquez Moreno, ambassador of Cuba in the headquarters of the Chancellery. The meeting was conducive to review important issues on the bilateral agenda.

Port of Spain, April 8, 2017. The second edition of the Latin American and Caribbean Film Festival will be held in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, from 18 to 30 April, with the participation of accredited Latin American and Caribbean Embassies in Trinidad and Tobago. This Film Festival is part of the Literary Festival of Trinidad and Tobago, which include also with participation of the Cuban poetess Nancy Morejón, member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC). Cuba will be represented with the films "Ciudad en Rojo" and "Hello Hemingway".
Fidel Castro is awarded with the Trinidadian Medal of Honor "Father of the Nation".

On the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the death of Dr. Eric Williams, former Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, in a ceremony organized by the Committee that bears his name, Fidel Castro was awarded posthumously with the Gold Medal of Honor "Father of the Nation", for his contribution to the peoples of the Caribbean and of Trinidad and Tobago.
