The Vice President of the Republic of Turkey, Fuat Oktay, received this Friday afternoon, May 20, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz. During the cordial meeting, Oktay and Cabrisas reviewed the positive state of political relations between the two countries and agreed on the importance of promoting and deepening economic, trade, financial and cooperation relations between Havana and Ankara, especially in areas such as renewable energy, agriculture, livestock, health and tourism.
The Cuban Deputy Prime Minister, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, began an official visit to the Republic of Turkey on Thursday with the aim of deepening the historic ties between the two nations and peoples, reviewing the state of economic, trade, financial and cooperation relations and examining the potential for their development.
The Cuban Embassy in Turkey, members of the Association of Friendship with Cuba "José Martí" and a representation of the Cuban community based in Ankara paid tribute to the Cuban National Hero on the 127th anniversary of his fall in combat, an occasion that also served to demand an end to the unjust economic, financial and commercial blockade against Cuba.
The Cuban Ambassador to Turkey Dr. Alejandro Díaz Palacios held a meeting with Ramis Sen, Deputy Director General for the Americas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, to analyze the potential for development of bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in the economic and commercial spheres.
