Cuban vice president visits the Ugandan Parliament.

Kampala. As part of the bilateral program developed by Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdés Mesa in Uganda, he was received by the Speaker of the Parliament Honorable Anita Among.

 

The leader of the Ugandan legislative body, together with members of the Solidarity Group with Cuba and directors of parliamentary committees, welcomed the Cuban delegation.

 

Uganda holds national solidarity meeting with Cuba.

Kampala. On January 20, Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdes Mesa participated in the closing session of the National Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba in Uganda held at the Christian University of Uganda.

 

Ugandan personalities, organizations and institutions in solidarity with the island, starred in a day full of colour, emotion and commitment to the defense of the people of Cuba.

 

Ugandan president hosts Cuban vice president

Kampala. Ugandan President His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni receives Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdés Mesa at the State House, who headed the Cuban delegation to the Summits of the Non-Aligned Movement and the Group of 77+China.

 

This was the first meeting that occurred during the stay of the Cuban delegation in Kampala, and it allowed ratifying the will for political and economic cooperation between both governments, in the year in which 50 years of diplomatic relations between both nations are celebrated.

Uganda and Cuba for the promotion of economic-trade relations.

Kampala. The Honorables Jessica Alupo and Salvador Valdés Mesa, vice presidents of Uganda and Cuba, respectively, presided over the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for the promotion of a compensated trade agreement between both countries.

 

This agreement is part of the efforts to promote economic-trade relations and constitutes a new example of political will in total adherence to the principles of South-South Cooperation.

New encounter between the vice presidents of Cuba and Uganda.

Kampala. The Honorables Jessica Alupo and Salvador Valdés Mesa, vice presidents of Uganda and Cuba, respectively, held a second bilateral meeting within the framework of Cuban participation in the Summits of the Non-Aligned Movement and the Group of 77+China held in Uganda.

 

Following the reopening of the Ugandan Embassy in Havana in September 2023, this was a new opportunity to reassess the state of bilateral relations and adopt new commitments to promote them.
