Liberia-Cuba Friendship Group issues statement of support.

Monrovia, November 5, 2023 - The Liberia-Cuba Friendship Group issues a statement of support to Cuba for its resounding victory at the United Nations, which once again evidences the overwhelming call of the international community to put an end to the genocidal blockade.

Through its president Kesselee Kanneh, who visited our Embassy to deliver the statement, the solidarity group supported Cuba in its struggle against the genocidal blockade that overwhelms the largest of the Antilles.

 

Cuban Head of Mission holds exchange with Minister of Public Works of Liberia.

Monrovia, June 15, 2022 - In the afternoon, Cuban diplomat Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, head of the Cuban mission in Liberia, held an exchange with the recently appointed Minister of Public Works Mrs. Ruth Coker Collins who has Herculean tasks in the supervision of Liberia's infrastructure sector.

During the conversation, the Liberian minister praised the work carried out by the Cuban doctors in the fight against the deadly Ebola virus, highlighting their professionalism, capacity and humanism.

President of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association defines blockade of Cuba as the worst violation of Human Rights.

Monrovia, April 8, 2022 – In a meeting held with Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, the president of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Group, Kesselee King Kanneh, today condemned the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for more than 60 years, which he defined as the worst violation of Human Rights. He also ratified his rejection of this inhuman policy and denounced its extraterritorial character.

President of Liberia-Cuba Friendship Group visits Cuban Embassy in Monrovia.

Monrovia, January 6, 2022.- It was a great honor for the Cuban Embassy in Liberia to receive the visit of the President of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association Mr. Kesselee King Kanneh.

The occasion was an opportunity to exchange on current issues of interest, recent actions in support of Cuba and future plans of the friendship group.

Liberian friends ratify solidarity with Cuba.

Monrovia, October 4, 2021 - Members of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association ratified the continuation of their actions, during a meeting at the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia with the Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

The friends considered Cuba as a source of inspiration for its example of firmness, and ratified the commitment to maintain their support in the complex current situation of the Island, which is facing the pandemic, resisting the blockade and developing the anti-imperialist struggle.
