Book on Cuban leader Fidel Castro’s visit to Vietnam introduced

The Vietnam News Agency Publishing House has introduced to the public a book on the visit by Cuban leader Fidel Castro to the liberated zone in Vietnam's central province of Quang Tri during the war 50 years ago.

The publication of the bilingual book in Vietnamese and Spanish named "Fidel Castro - Vi Viet Nam, nguyen hien dang ca mau! Fidel Castro - Nuestra Sangre Por Vietnam" (Fidel Castro: Our blood for Vietnam) marks the 50th anniversary of the Cuban leader’s visit, reminding people of his famous saying “For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to shed its blood.”

Cuba’s Moncada Barracks attack marked in Ben Tre

The People’s Committee of Ben Tre held a ceremony to mark the 70th anniversary of the attack on Moncada Barracks of Cuba and 40 years since the establishment of Moncada Village in the southern province. Seventy years ago, the attack by young Cuban patriots led by Fidel Castro, the great leader of Cuba, opened up a new stage of development in the Cuban revolution. It brought the just struggle of the Cuban people to victory on January 1, 1959, marking a milestone in the country’s history.

HCM City wants to boost cooperation with Cuba’s Artemisa province: official

Ho Chi Minh City wishes to strengthen cooperation with Cuba’s Artemisa province in the areas of mutual interest and Cuba's strength like health care and bio-technology, a municipal official said on August 25. At a reception for visiting Governor of Artemisa province and Vice President of the Cuba-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group Ricardo Concepcion Rodriguez, Vice Chairman of the HCM City People’s Committee Duong Anh Duc called on Cuban leaders to create favourable conditions for Vietnamese businesses to operate in the Caribbean nation.

Cuba wants to exchange trade union experience in oil and gas sector with Vietnam

A delegation of the Central Union of Cuban Workers (CTC), led by its Secretary General Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, had working sessions with the Vietnam National Union of Oil and Gas Workers and the Russia-Vietnam oil and gas joint venture Vietsovpetro in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on July 1. 

Delegation representing Cuban Workers visits Vietnam

A delegation from the Central of Workers of Cuba (CTC) headed by its general secretary, Ulises Guilarte, is holding the second day of its working visit to Vietnam. Guilarte and his companions arrived in the Vietnamese capital on Tuesday and began their program of activities by meeting with the presidents of the National Assembly, Vuong Dinh Hue, and of the Vietnamese General Confederation of Labor (CGTV), Nguyen Dinh Khang.

Defense is key in joint relations between Vietnam and Cuba

Ties in the field of defense constitute one of the pillars of the relations between Cuba and Vietnam, and an example to promote cooperation in other sectors, high-ranking officers from Vietnam and Cuba said. The asessment was made during a meeting between the ministers of Defense of Vietnam, General Phan Van Giang, and of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba, Army Corps General Álvaro López Miera, who is holding a working visit to Vietnam.

Prime Minister hosts Cuban Minister of Justice

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on received visiting Cuban Minister of Justice Oscar Silvera Martinez, during which he affirmed that Vietnam is willing to share experiences of its ‘Doi moi’ process, including the building and improvement of the legal system, and judicial reform, with the Cuban side. "Vietnam will do its best to support Cuba in its capacity, and willingly share experiences it has gained, both on issues that have been done well or not".

Justice ministries of Vietnam, Cuba share experience

Vietnamese Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long and his Cuban counterpart Oscar Manuel Silvera Martinez shared experience in law building, perfection, and enforcement during their talks in Hanoi on June 16. The host official said that to the Vietnamese people, solidarity and friendship with Cuba is an order from their heart and mind. Vietnam always treasures the Cuban Party, State, and people’s extremely valuable solidarity and support for its national liberation and revolutionary path.

The Vietnamese Party, State and people always give special sentiment to Cuba, National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh told Cuban Minister of Justice Oscar Manuel Slivera Martinez during a reception in Hanoi on June 15. Dinh said Vietnam forever remembers and deeply appreciates the strong support and wholehearted assistance that the Communist Party and fraternal people of Cuba have offered to the Vietnamese people in the past struggle for national liberation and the current national development.
