Cuban party delegation travels to Ho Chi Minh City

Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in Havana, and his accompanying delegation traveled to Ho Chi Minh City, in the follow-up of their visit to Vietnam.

The program in Ho Chi Minh City, more than 1,600 kilometers from Hanoi, began with a tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels, which were dug with rudimentary tools by the militia of that district of the former Saigon between 1946 and 1968.

Hanoi donates 2,000 tons of rice to Havana

Hanoi donated Friday 2,000 tons of rice to Havana in the presence of top party leaders Dinh Tien Dung and Luis Antonio Torres Iribar, respectively. The ceremony to deliver the donation, signed by Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam, Orlando Hernandez Guillen, took place after Tien Dung and Torres Iribar signed a cooperation agreement between the Provincial Committees of the Communist Parties of Vietnam (CPV) and Cuba (PCC).

Hanoi seeks stronger cooperation with Havana

Hanoi wants to expand and promote its comprehensive cooperation with the Cuban capital city of Havana, especially in the exchange of experience in the Party building work, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung said on June 9.

At his talks with First Secretary of the Havana Party Committee Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, who is on a Vietnam visit from June 5-15, Dung noted with pleasure the fruitful development of the relations between the two Parties and countries over the past years.

Hanoi, La Habana to ink partnership deals

The Party Committees of Hanoi and La Habana expect to ratify a partnership agreement for the next five years, said Nguyen Thi Tuyen, deputy secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, and Cuban Ambassador Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén at a meeting on June 1. The two sides will also agree on other cooperation activities, said Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, when discussing the agenda of the upcoming visit of the First Secretary of the Havana Party Committee.

Vietnamese Party official receives Cuban guests

Politburo member and permanent member of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee's Secretariat Truong Thi Mai hosted a reception for a high-ranking delegation from the Committees for the Defence of the Revolution of Cuba led its National Coordinator Gerardo Hernandez Nordelo in Hanoi on May 17. Mai expressed her joy at the fruitful development of the special solidarity and friendship between the two Parties, States and peoples, saying that the relationship is a valuable common property that needs to be preserved and constantly developed.

NA Vice Chairman welcomes CDR delegation of Cuba

Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man hosted a reception in Hanoi on May 17 for a delegation from the Committees for the Defence of the Revolution of Cuba (CDR) led by its National Coordinator Gerardo Hernandez Nordelo. Affirming that Vietnam always closely follows Cuba’s situation, Man expressed his sympathy with difficulties and challenges that the fraternal Cuban people are facing.

Vietnam-Cuba friendship contributes to world peace

A delegation of the Communist Party of Cuba led by Standing Committee of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Cuba Roberto Morales Ojeda paid a visit to the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO).

On behalf of HUFO leadership, HUFO Chairman Do Viet Ha warmly welcomed the delegation talking about the formation and development of HUFO over the past 35 years.

President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics received Cuban Ambassador

Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) and Chairman of the Central Theory Council, on April 21 received Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén. At the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation contents between the HCMA and Cuban partners in the coming time, and agreed to strengthen cooperation in the training of cadres, especially those are or will hold leading positions at the strategic level.
