Cuban leaders congratulate their new counterparts in Vietnam

President Miguel Díaz-Canel, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, and the head of the Cuban National Assembly, Esteban Lazo, sent messages of congratulations to their newly elected Vietnamese counterparts.
 
In a letter to the new head of state of Vietnam, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the Cuban president ratified the will to continue strengthening bilateral ties based on the unconditional support, mutual political trust and solidarity that characterize the relations between the two countries.
 

Foreign Ministers of Vietnam and Cuba hold telephone conversation

Vietnam and Cuba highlighted the excellent level of bilateral ties in a telephone conversation held on March 16 by their respective Foreign Ministers, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla and Pham Binh Minh.

Both representatives praised the high level of political relations, comprehensive cooperation and the exchange of experiences in buiding Socialism as a contribution to the two countries´ socioeconomic development.

Vietnam and Cuba celebrate VI Round of Political Consultations

Vietnam and Cuba reviewed their bilateral agenda during the VI Round of Political Consultations between the two foreign ministries, held in virtual format on March 2nd.

Chaired by the First Deputy Ministers of Foreign Relations, Marcelino Medina González and Bui Thanh Son, the event was the occasion for an exchange on the bilateral milestones since the V Political Consultation and other topics in the international arena.

Advances in the Cuban vaccine against COVID-19 highlighted in Vietnamese press

Vietnamese newspaper Tuoi Tre recently underlined that Cuba is about to achieve an extraordinary achievement in the global race for COVID-19 vaccines.

When informing that the Caribbean country would begin the third phase trials of the Sovereign-02 vaccine, the media stressed that this scientific success is obtained despite the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States for decades and the increase in sanctions under the term of former President Donald Trump.
