97th Anniversary of Fidel's birth is celebrated in Copenhagen.

Copenhagen, August 13, 2023. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in the Kingdom of Denmark, Roger López García, recalled in the act organized by the diplomatic headquarters, together with the Friendship Association, the 97th anniversary of the birth of the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, which took place in the revolutionary park in the town of "Christiania" in this capital.

In his speech, next to the stone that bears his name, and at the foot of the tree planted in his memory, the Cuban diplomat referred to the work of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, his ideals of social justice, the validity of his thought , and the responsibility of the new generations to preserve the legacy of comrade Fidel.

The Caribbean representative addressed the economic war that is being maintained to destabilize the country, and expressed his condemnation of the unilateral decision of the US Government to include Cuba on the spurious list of countries that sponsor terrorism.

The President of the Friendship Association, Susanne Wind, for her part, expressed her sympathy for Fidel's work for Cuba and the world, conveyed her solidarity with the Cuban Revolution, and condemned the cruel sanctions policy of the northern neighbor, the Greater Antilles, for more than 60 years.

Together with the mission group, there were representatives of the Communist Party in Denmark (Kpid), the Unitary List, the "Salvador Allende" Association, the "Patria Grande" Movement, and Cuban residents with their descendants. Different inhabitants of the community also joined.

In this park, where a tree is also planted in honor of Commander Carlos Fonseca Amador, the Cuban official recalled the coincidence on the same date of the birth of Commander Tomás Borge, founder of the FSLN, and expressed his solidarity with the Sandinista revolution that reached its 44th Anniversary.
