Accra, September 11th, 2023 - At the entrance of the house, the first image that catches your attention is a picture of Cuba's National Hero José Martí, sufficient reason to feel like you are in a friendly territory. Next to it, there is an image of the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz. It is clear, we are in Cuba.
His Excellency Mr. Kojo Owusu Gyamadua Amoo-Gottfried was Ambassador to Cuba from 1982 to 1989. This was a period of great flourishing of relations between Ghana and Cuba and the great man who received the Cuban Ambassador to Ghana, Anette Chao Garcia, worked intensely, from his position, to execute the policy of the government of the Flight Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings and, with his hallmark, to elevate the relations between the two countries. He was the first Ghanaian Ambassador after the reopening of the Embassy in Cuba.
When we talk about Kojo, as he likes to be called, we talk about the history of Ghana, the history of Cuba. That is why the Cuban official came to his home to thank him for the unconditional support he has given to the Island. She also visited him to coordinate future events.
