The Vice President of the Republic of The Gambia, Mrs. Fatoumata Jallow Tambajang, received Cuban Ambassador Lazaro Herrera Martínez at the Government House, with whom she held a fraternal meeting.
The occasion allowed a fruitful exchange during which the two parties expressed interest in strengthening friendship and extending the collaboration to other areas, beyond the medical assistance that the island has offered to the African country for more than two decades.
Banjul, October 25th, 2016.- That was assured by the Ambassador of Cuba to Banjul, Lázaro Herrera, in an interview published full page by the newspaper Daily Observer where Ambassador pointed out: "... United States has to learn how to behave as Cuba´s neighbor, without interference in our internal affairs, respecting our sovereignty, renounce to continue organizing actions to try to subvert Cuban political system."
Banjul, October 22, 2016- Members of the Gambia-Cuba Friendship Association and the José Marti Association of Graduands of The Gambia in Cuba, taking part in a meeting at the Cuban embassy in Banjul denounced the persistence and the negative effects of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against the island, despite the huge international repudiation towards this policy and the recognition of the American President that it is a failed policy and therefore , must be lifted.
Banjul, October 20th, 2016.- The Ambassador of Cuba to Banjul, Lázaro Herrera, denounced this evening the purposes of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against the island and demanded its lifting, in concordance with the claims of the Cuban people and of the international community.
