Abuja, March 5, 2024.- The Ambassador of Cuba in Nigeria Miriam Morales Palmero together with the Third Secretary of the Embassy, Ana Flavia Gómez Pavot, participated this afternoon in the evening held at the headquarters of the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Nigeria on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the physical disappearance of Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías.
With deep sadness we say goodbye to Cuba's great friend. Those were the opening words of the speech given by the Cuban Ambassador after pronouncing her feelings about what the physical loss of Commander Hugo Chávez represented for the Cuban people.
For his part, the Ambassador of Venezuela shared several anecdotes about President Chávez during his life, to which he added there was no better way to pay tribute to him than by following his principles and continuing to be faithful to his ideals of struggle, independence and emancipation of the people. from Venezuela, Latin America and the world.
Ambassadors from Latin American countries accredited in Nigeria, friends and members of solidarity were present during the tribute.
