The event was attended by the Honourable Ayodele Olawande, Minister of Youth and Development of Nigeria, accompanied by youth representatives from various government institutions.
Meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Cuba and Nigeria Strengthens Bilateral Cooperation
Abuja, March 17, 2025 – Within the framework of the official visit to Nigeria, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla met with his Nigerian counterpart, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar. During the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to expanding international cooperation and mutual support.
As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Foreign Ministries of both countries, with the aim of strengthening international exchange, cooperation, and collaboration.

During his stay, he will hold an intense agenda of official meetings with the country's leaders, with the goal of strengthening the historic ties and cooperation between the two nations. He was received at Abuja's Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by Ambassador Wahab Adekola Akande, Chief of Protocol of the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria Miriam Morales Palmero.
