Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria participates in the celebration of the 76th anniversary of India's independence

Abuja, January 28, 2025 – The Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria, Miriam Morales Palmero, participated in the commemorative event of the 76th anniversary of India's independence, held at the headquarters of the High Commission of India in Abuja. The ceremony was attended by prominent authorities of the Nigerian government, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country and members of the Indian community residing in Nigeria.

Abuja, January 17, 2025 – The Cuban Embassy in Nigeria received the visit of a delegation from the Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), headed by its Director, Abike Dabiri-Erewa. During the meeting with the Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria, Miriam Morales Palmero, the depth of the cultural and historical ties that unite both countries since colonial times was highlighted, when the first slaves, mostly from Nigeria, arrived in Cuba, leaving an indelible mark on the Cuban cultural identity.

Abuja, January 16, 2025 – The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Nigeria, Miriam Morales Palmero, paid a visit to the headquarters of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), the largest trade union organization in Nigeria and West Africa. During the meeting, she had a fruitful exchange with the president of said organization, Comrade Joe Ajaero, as well as with other executives and historical trade union leaders who were present.

Abuja, January 15, 2025 – The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Nigeria, Miriam Morales Palmero, attended the commemorative mass for the Day of Remembrance of the Nigerian Armed Forces, within the framework of the 50th anniversary of this important celebration. At the ceremony, members of the diplomatic corps and senior leaders of the Nigerian government were present, reaffirming international recognition of the work of the armed forces of this country.
