Saint Patrick's Day in Nigeria

Abuja, March 13, 2024.- The Cuban ambassador to Nigeria, Miriam Morales Palmero participated this afternoon in the celebration of Saint Patrick's Day, which took place at the headquarters of the Irish Embassy.

Saint Patrick, who lived during the fifth century, is the patron saint of Ireland and its national apostle. Born in Roman Britain, he was kidnapped and brought to Ireland as a slave at 16. He later escaped, but returned to Ireland and was credited with bringing Christianity to its people.

Bangladesh National Day

Abuja, March 9, 2024.- The ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Nigeria, Miriam Morales Palmeo, and the Third Secretary of the Embassy, Ana Flavia Gómez Pavot participated this afternoon in the celebration for the 53rd Anniversary of the Independence of Bangladesh and 50 of diplomatic relations with Nigeria.

During her speech, the Bangladesh ambassador thanked everyone for their presence and summarized the historical relations between both countries.

The woman in the cinema

Abuja, March 8, 2024.- As part of the activities carried out by the diplomatic corps for International Women's Day, the Ambassador of Cuba Miriam Morales Palmero and the Third Secretary Ana Flavia Gómez Pavot participated in a movie night organized at the headquarters of the Mexican Embassy in Abuja.

During the evening, three small films from the Mexican film school were screened, which reflected the situation of insecurity, mistreatment and abuse to which a large part of women in Latin America are subjected.
