Athens, June 24. The embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Greece, celebrated the 200th anniversary of the victory of the Battle of Carabobo, with a wreath in the Simón Bolívar park in the Greek capital.
Venezuelan Ambassador Freddy Fernandez highlighted the importance of such an important battle, which was carried out under the leadership of El Libertador Simón Bolívar; and its importance in the history of Our America.
Present at the event were representatives of the embassies of Cuba, Uruguay, Mexico, Peru, the honorary consulate of Nicaragua, the Americas directorate of the Greek Foreign Ministry, Venezuelan residents, and solidarity friends.
A marching band performed the anthems of Venezuela and Greece.
